Temperatures to drop in upper Thailand, Bangkok

BANGKOK, November 27 (TNA) - The Meteorological Department has predicted cold and windy weather in upper parts of Thailand and Bangkok later this week, with temperatures in the capital alone expected to drop by 1-2 degrees Celsius in Bangkok and nearby provinces. Consequently, the Meteorological Department said, the upper parts of the country would face strong winds and temperatures would drop by 2-4 degrees Celsius, suggesting that local people take good care of their health. According to the Meteorological Department's statement, the strong northeast monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and the Thai South would cause more downpours, as well as isolated heavy to very heavy thundershower, in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat Provinces, where people should beware of severe weather conditions and possible flash floods and runoffs. Besides, waves would be 2-4 meters high in the Gulf of Thailand, in which all ships should proceed with caution and small boats should keep ashore, while people living along seashore should beware of high inshore waves until November 29. In Bangkok and nearby provinces, the weather agency warned that it would be partly cloudy and temperatures would go down by 1-2 degrees Celsius, ranging between 23-24 and 33-34 degrees Celsius.
