Thai Air Force to help search for AirAsia's missing plane if requested

BANGKOK, December 30 (TNA) - The Royal Thai Air Force is ready to help search for a missing AirAsia passenger plane, Flight QZ8501, if requested. Thai Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Treetos Sonjaeng told journalists on Tuesday if Indonesia sought help for the search for the AirAsia's Airbus A320-200 aircraft, which has been missing since last Sunday morning with 162 passengers and crew members on board, the Royal Thai Air Force would be ready to respond so. Air Chief Marshal Treetos stressed although the radar of the Royal Thai Air Force did not reach the location, where the plane was believed to go missing, the Royal Thai Air Force would be ready to assist in the search at its best if Indonesia sought for the assistance. The Thai air force chief noted if a big aircraft hit the sea, its debris would scatter and if it exploded midair, its pieces would spread in a farther radius, saying, however, that he believes an accident caused the plane to disappear.
