Thai armed forces chief receives visiting Singapore’s military leader

BANGKOK, August 13 (TNA) - Thai Armed Forces Chief General Thanasak Patimaprakorn on Tuesday met the visiting Chief of the Defence Force of the Singapore Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Ng Chee Meng, at the Royal Thai Armed Forces' headquarters. Accompanied by his entourage, Lieutenant-General Ng Chee Meng is paying an official visit to Thailand from August 10-13 as the guest of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, aimed to strengthen military ties and cooperation between the two neighbouring countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The four-day trip to Thailand by the Singapore’s Chief of the Defence Force is believed to level up bilateral military ties and cooperation between Thailand and the island state and to enhance military and security cooperation in the region as a whole.
