Thai army chief attends ACAMM–15 in Vietnam

BANGKOK, November 25 (TNA) - Thai Army Chief General Udomdej Sitabutr participates in the ASEAN Chiefs of Armies Multilateral Meeting (ACAMM–15), held in Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, from November 25-29. Speaking to journalists before flying to Hanoi on Tuesday morning, General Udomdej said that he will express his vision on cooperation among armies in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to cope with various forms of threats. General Udomdej revealed that he will also have bilateral talks with other participating army chiefs to develop good ties, focused on cooperation on information exchange, covering anti-transnational terrorism and disaster relief missions. The Thai army chief also noted that he has followed up movements of the Islamic State (IS) and found it has already entered a neighbouring country, confirming, however, that IS has not arrived in Thailand.
