Thai boxer ‘Buakaw’ apologises for walk-out

BANGKOK, October 12 (TNA) - Buakaw Banchamek, champion of Muay Thai Kickboxing, on Sunday posted a message on Facebook, apologising to his fans for walking out of the fight against Enriko Kehl of Germany in the eastern resort of Pattaya. Kehl was crowned K-1 World Max champion after Buakaw walked out of the fight after the end of third round of the fight on Saturday. Judges ruled that the fight was even after the third round ended so an extra round was needed to find the champion. But Buakaw left the boxing arena and the fight was ruled in favour of Kehl due to disqualification via forfeit. Expressing his sorry to fans, Buakaw said in the Facebook that sorry to make fans puzzled but they would understand him later. It is expected that something wrong must have happened and that he would hold a press conference to clear himself soon. (TNA)
