Thai Cabinet approves bilateral visa waiver for Montenegro's officials

BANGKOK, September 10 (TNA) - The Thai Cabinet has approved a bilateral agreement on visa exemption between Thailand and Montenegro, with the visa waiver covering diplomats and government officials of both countries. Deputy Government Spokesman Pakdihan Himathongkham told journalists of the Thai Cabinet's decision on Tuesday, after its weekly meeting at Bangkok's Government House. According to the deputy government spokesman, the visa exemption, proposed by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the sake of convenient visits of officials of both countries, applies to their stay of up to 90 days each. The deputy government spokesman acknowledged that the agreement will boost bilateral relations and cooperation between Thailand and Montenegro, especially on politics, economic affairs and tourism. Manasvi Srisodapol, Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs's Department of Information, said such visa exemption normally follows a visit of a national leader to a concerned country.
