Thai Cabinet's mobile meeting in Chiang Mai to be held as scheduled

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND, June 13 (TNA) - As the Thai Cabinet's mobile meeting is scheduled to be held in Chiang Mai Province in the Thai North from June 29-30, Assistant Secretary-General to the Prime Minister Suchart Vipasthawach has led a team of officials to inspect the venues of the upcoming Cabinet meeting as part of official preparations. The venues include the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre, where the Cabinet's mobile meeting and press conference will be held. In their Saturday's inspection, the officials also inspected the readiness of the Green Lake Resort Hotel, where Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha and his Cabinet members will stay. The northern Thai resort province has planned to propose eight projects to the Cabinet, including those on local economic and environmental development focused on local infrastructure expansion. The senior officials later held a meeting with Chiang Mai Governor Suriya Prasartbandit and other relevant agencies to discuss further preparations for the upcoming Cabinet meeting, including necessary security measures.
