Thai Crown Prince Visits Flood Victims

BANGKOK, November 21 (TNA) - His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn visited flood victims at temporary shelter centres in Bangkok on Monday and provided them with necessities and morale support. The Thai Crown Prince first visited nearly 500 flood victims who take shelter at the Military Development Office and gave relief and morale support to the flood evacuees who are general people, soldiers and their family members, including those from persistent flood-stricken Don Mueang District. The Crown Prince also went to the Royal Thai Air Force's clubhouse in Don Mueang's Si Kan Sub-district to distribute relief packs to families of air force soldiers who have been affected by floods. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn said that he has shared the affected people's hardships, as his palace at the Dechochai 3 Wing has also been deeply flooded for a long period with power and water supplies cut off and royal transportation relied only on military trucks and boats. The Thai Crown Prince advised Supreme Commander General Thanasak Patimaprakorn, Army Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Navy Chief Admiral Surasak Roonrerngrom to study this year's flooding problems in order to provide right assistance and to plan immediate and long-term rehabilitation to affected people, praising military personnel for helping local flood victims at their best with impressions greatly echoed by the affected people.
