Thai DPM attends 6th FEALAC in Indonesia

BALI, June 13 (TNA) - Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul is visiting Indonesia to attend the 6th Forum for East Asia and Latin American Cooperation (FEALAC), held on the Bali Island from June 13-14, aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two regions on countering challenges on the world stage. The two-day forum draws together delegates from the FEALAC's 36 member countries from East Asia and Latin America, with its top agenda including the endorsement of the Bali Declaration on the cross-continental cooperation on areas of mutual interest, namely transport, food and energy security, disaster prevention and mitigation, tourism, epidemic management and anti-transnational crime. The Thai deputy premier is also scheduled to hold bilateral talks with the Foreign Ministers of Guatemala and Myanmar on the sidelines of the 6th FEALAC. (TNA)
