Thai junta conveys condolences to victims of MH17 crash

BANGKOK, July 21 (TNA) - Thailand's army-led National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has sent his letter of condolences to countries and relatives of victims of a Malaysia Airlines passenger plane, Flight MH17, which crashed in eastern Ukrain last Thursday. In the letter, NCPO Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha expressed his deep shock and sorrow with the July 17 tragedy, which killed all 298 passengers and crew members on board, including Malaysian, Indonesian, Philippine, Dutch, British, Belgian, German, Australian and New Zealand victims. General Prayuth expressed his heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Thai government and people for the tragedy and conveyed Thai people's best regards and wishes to the the governments and the victims' families. The Thai junta chief also called for an independent and transparent investigation into the tragic incident, saying that Thailand is ready to offer full support for the probe. (TNA)
