Thai King's July 15 trip to Ratchaburi postponed

BANGKOK, July 13 (TNA) - A royal trip to Thailand's central Ratchaburi Province by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, earlier scheduled for July 15, to visit royal-initiated projects has now been indefinitely postponed. The Bureau of the Royal Household officially announced on Friday that His Majesty the King has been advised by his doctors to suspend royal activities for a certain period of time, after the 84-year-old beloved Thai monarch was detected with a rapid heartbeat and a small case of leaking blood vessels in his brain Thursday evening. According to the Bureau of the Royal Household's latest statement, an immediate computer x-ray scan performed by the royal physicians at Bangkok's Siriraj Hospital found a little amount of blood seeping out under the outer layer of His Majesty the King's left-side brain, also causing a shaking of his right hand. The royal doctors reported that His Majesty the King has been recovering well with his right hand now normally functioning with no more shaking. However, the royal physicians advised that the beloved Thai monarch, who has stayed at government-run Siriraj Hospital since 2009, suspend all royal activities for a certain period of time until his full recovery.(TNA)
