Thai North affected by Myanmar's quake

CHIANG RAI, May 7 (TNA) - Thailand's northern Chiang Rai Province was affected by a moderate 5.4 magnitude-earthquake which jolted neighbouring Myanmar on Tuesday morning, but there were no reports of injuries or any damage to property. The Meteorological Department's Seismological Bureau reported that people in at least three districts of Chiang Rai, including those in the Muang Municipality, were affected by the quake. The tremor was recorded at 3:17am (local time) and lasted several seconds, with its epicentre located 29 kilometres north of Chiang Rai's Mae Sai District. (TNA)
