Thai PM asks for all parties'cooperation on promoting national image

BANGKOK, April 17 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has called on cooperation by all parties, especially the media, to help maintain order and to promote national image. Prime Minister General Prayut made the call during his closing address at Bangkok's Government House, following his interim government‘s report on performances in its first six months in office to the public. The Thai premier asked the public to help maintain order and the media to report the domestic situation in positive ways to promote national image and attract more international visitors to the Kingdom. Reiterating that Section 44 of the Provisional Constitution, which has been in effect since April 1, 2015, does not affect people’s rights, the prime minister explained it has been enforced in order to solve problems urgently. The Thai premier pointed out that no country with any kind of political system enjoys peace if people in that country has unlimited freedom and it is lawless”, suggesting that everybody think of his/her own rights, while also being responsibility for others and the nation.
