Thai PM to attend APEC Summit 2015 in Philippines

BANGKOK, October 9 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha is scheduled to visit the Philippines next month to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit 2015 and related forums. Thai Deputy Government Spokesman Major General Werachon Sukondhapatipak told journalists on Friday that the prime minister informed newly-appointed Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Mary Jo A. Bernardo –Aragon Pays, who paid a courtesy call on him at Bangkok's Government House earlier in the day, that he will definitely attend next month's APEC Summit in the Philippines. The deputy spokesman said the Thai prime minister also thanked Philippine President Benigno Aquino for inviting him to attend the upcoming APEC Summit and related meetings. (TNA)
