Thai PM to attend COP21

BANGKOK, November 24 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha is scheduled to attend the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21) in Paris from November 29–December 1, 2015. Thai Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai told journalists of the schedule on Tuesday, confirming that the prime minister's upcoming trip to Paris remains unchanged. Don said during next week's visit to Paris, the Thai prime minister will also boost morale of France after a series of deadly attacks on Paris on November 13. In response to a warning by the US government for American citizens to stay alert on danger from terrorism, the Thai foreign minister said Thailand does not need to increase warnings on any terrorist attack, as Thai people have followed the situation closely and know how to prepare themselves. The foreign minister noted, however, that Thai embassies overseas would immediately contact Thai people living in their countries should any terrorism act occurred. (TNA)
