Thai PM extends best wish to HM Queen

BANGKOK, August 12 (TNA) – Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra Monday led cabinet ministers, military top brass to sign well-wishing books on occasion of Her Majesty Queen’s 81 birthday anniversary, which is also the National Mother’s Day. The prime minister and her delegation arrived at the Grand Palace at 9 am to write their best wishes for HM the Queen. General public also queued up to sign well-wishing books at the Sala Sahathai Samakhom Hall in the palace, which is opened for public 9am to 5pm today. The prime minister is scheduled to preside over a ceremony to extend best wishes to HM the Queen at the Sanam Luang field this evening. Meanwhile, people across the country joined alms-giving ceremonies and prayed for the well-being of the 81-year-old Queen. In Bangkok, Bangkok Governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra led city officials and general people to give alms to 182 monks in front of the City Hall. (TNA)
