Thai PM extends condolences to Germany on plane crash

BANGKOK, March 27 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has sent a message of condolences to his German counterpart Angela Merkel on a crash of a Germanwings flight in southern France earlier this week. In the message, the Thai prime minister said he was deeply saddened upon learning that Germanwings' Flight 4U9525 crashed on the Alps on March 24, killing all 150 passengers and crew members aboard. The Thai prime minister conveyed his condolences and sympathy to his German counterpart and people, including relatives of the victims, on behalf of the Thai government and people, for the tragedy. The Thai leader also gave a morale support to his German counterpart and people, as well as the victims' relatives to get through this time of difficulty. The Airbus A320 aircraft of Germanwings, a subsidiary budget airline of Germany-based Lufthansa Airlines, crashed in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, located between Digne-les-Bains and Barcelonnette, on Tuesday morning (local time).
