Thai PM invited to attend BRICS Summit in China

BANGKOK, May 17 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has been invited to attend the BRICS Summit 2017 in China in September. Thai Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai told journalists of the information on May 16, saying that the upcoming 9th Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. (BRICS) Summit will be held in Xiamen of China's southeastern Fujian Province. Don noted that China has acknowledged Thailand's support for its One Belt One Road Policy although the Thai premier did not attend the High-Level Dialogue Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in the 21st Century, held in Beijing during May 14-15. "Six Thai ministers attended the two-day high-level dialogue in Beijing, during which the Chinese side expressed its appreciation to Thailand's support for the One Belt One Road Policy and asked Bangkok for helping publicize the policy", revealed the foreign minister.
