Thai PM opens FB page to directly connect with people

BANGKOK, April 3 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has launched a new Facebook account to directly connect with people who are all welcome to lodge their complaints or raise their questions in various areas to the government's top leader. Speaking to journalists of the update on Tuesday, the prime minister affirmed that people are welcome to directly communicate with him on issues they are interested in through the new Facebook page, including political ones, like those are related to the country's new general election. "I'll access to all issues posted on the new Facebook page and will try to response as soon as possible or assign relevant agencies to quickly address the issues or problems raised by the public," promised the prime minister. The prime minister said he is prepared for dealing with all emerging challenges after the new Facebook page was launched and he will be patient and continue trying to do his duties the best. On the occasion, the prime minister learned on other official channels opened for public tip-offs or complaints, namely the "Police I Alert You" online application, launched by the Royal Thai Police, and the PSC1111 hotline, launched by the Permanent Secretary Office Attached to the Prime Minister. The Thai leader vowed, meanwhile, that his military government will keep tracing for and addressing corruption problems seriously although some cases take more times, suggesting that all government and state officials never involve in corruption. The prime minister expressed his special concerns over low-level officials who were lured to involve in corruption, stressing that all officials suspected or found to be guilty in any case must be suspended from their positions pending the conclusion of their cases through legal or disciplinary processes.
