Thai PM orders integrated public relations on government performances

BANGKOK, June 7 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has ordered the setting up of a working group to disseminate the government's performances and achievements in an intergrated manner. Government Spokesman Teerat Ratanasevi told a press conference of the prime ministerial order on Friday, after the Cabinet's special meeting held at Phitsanulok Mansion (the prime minister’s official residence) in Bangkok. Teerat said that the newly-formed working group, comprising representatives of concerned ministries, will publicly present the government's performances and achievements to improve its public relations on economic, social, political, security and foreign affairs. According to the spokesman, the prime minister has ordered five ministers to take direct responsibilities for the public relations on the five main affairs, with Transport Minister Chadchat Sittipunt to carry out public relations on the administration's 2-trillion-baht transport development plans, Deputy Prime Minister Plodprasop Suraswadi on 350-billion-baht water management plans, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Kittirat Na-Ranong on the rice pledging scheme, Defence Minister Sukumpol Suwanatat on southern solutions and Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Pongthep Thepkanchana on reconciliation and political issues.(TNA)
