Thai PM satisfied with unified flood solution

BANGKOK, October 11 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has expressed her satisfaction with unified solution in flood-affected areas. Speaking to provincial governors and authorities of concerned agencies nationwide at a video conference from Bangkok Thursday morning, Yingluck thanked the Ministry of Interior and relevant agencies, including provincial disaster prevention and mitigation offices and the government-appointed Water and Flood Management Committee (WFMC), for working in unity as a single command unit satisfactorily, which has helped solve flooding in the affected areas much more quickly and better than last year. Yingluck acknowledged, given the unified solution, floods, caused by a high amount of precipitation recently, have remained in only Kanchanaburi and Prachinburi provinces. The authorities participating in the video conference, aimed to follow up the flooding situation, include Permanent Secretary for Interior Wiboon Sanguanpong and his deputy, M.L.
