Thai PM signs get-well book for Queen

BANGKOK, August 12 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, accompanied by her common-law husband Anusorn Amornchat, early Sunday signed a get-well book for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, wishing her a speedy recovery on her 80th birthday while people throughout the country joined in numerous celebrations and ceremonies organised by the government. The Thai premier and her husband signed the book at the Grand Palace. The Royal Household Bureau has prepared books for people to sign congratulatory message for their revered Queen at the Grand Palace between 9.00 a.m.- 5.00 p.m. Sunday to celebrate her birthday anniversary which is also the Mother’s Day in the kingdom. Yingluck, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Yongyuth Wichaidit, Deputy Prime Minister Gen. Yuthasak Sasiprapha and Deputy Transport Minister Chadchart Sittipunt later traveled to Siriraj Hospital where the Queen is being treated and signed get-well books. They also presented bouquet in front of the Queen portrait placed on the ground floor of the hospital. Yingluck is scheduled to preside over a ceremony to light candles to celebrate the Queen’s birthday and to offer blessings and prayers for Her Majesty at 7.19 p.m. at Sanam Luang ceremonial ground in Bangkok.
