Thai PM Thanks For Foreign Condolences

BANGKOK, Oct 22 (TNA) - Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-ocha thanked for the condolences, pouring in from many countries after His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej passed away on Oct 13, said Government spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd. The Thai prime minister thanked all countries for sending messages of condolence, flying flags at half-mast and organizing mourning activities for the late King in their countries. This reflects that in the eye of the international community, the late King Bhumibol was a great King, and that he was loved and revered not only in Thailand, but around the globe. It also demonstrates good relationship between Thailand and other countries, said the government spokesman. The prime minister also appreciated that Thai people, living abroad expressed their loyalty to the late King through many mourning activities, initiated by themselves or Thai embassies. Lt Gen Sansern said Gen Prayut wanted to give moral support for all Thais living in other countries to do their duties with best effort and to take care of each other while going through the most tragic moment of our lives.
