Thai PM to visit China for APEC Summit Nov 9

BANGKOK, November 7 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha will visit China early next week to attend this year's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, set to be held in Beijing from November 10-11. Accompanied by his entourage, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister General Tanasak Patimapragorn and Commerce Minister General Chatchai Sarikulya, General Prayut will leave Bangkok for the Chinese capital on Sunday. This year's APEC forums, also dubbed the 2014 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders' Week, include the Concluding Senior Officials' Meeting from November 5-6, the APEC Ministerial Meeting from November 7-8 and the APEC Summit, the 22nd of its kind, from November 10-11. The Thai prime minister will later attend this year's leadership summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and related forums in Myanmar from November 12-13. (TNA)
