BANGKOK, June 19 (TNA) - Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra plans to pay a fresh visit to the United States in the near future, after her first US trip, as a Thai prime minister, last year to attend the 67th Session of the UN General Assembly. Visiting US Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius told journalists, after paying a courtesy call on Premier Yingluck at Bangkok's Government House on Wednesday's morning (local time), that she is ready to welcome the Thai prime minister in the United States and US authorities concerned are arranging the planned trip of the Thai leader. Sebelius also said that Thailand and the United States have cooperated on public health for over 30 years and she discussed with the Thai prime minister on further bilateral cooperation on the prevention of emerging diseases in Asia, as well as HIV and communicable diseases from immigrants, covering healthcare for children and the promotion of longevity for people of both countries.
