Thai PM works at CAPO

BANGKOK, December 2 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister and Defence Minister Yingluck Shinawatra arrived at the Royal Thai Police headquarters, in which the government's Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) is also located, on Monday morning to perform her duties as usual, amid intensified security measures. Upon her arrival at the CAPO, Yingluck did not give any interview to reporters, but her appearance dismissed rumours that she had fled out of the country. The prime minister reportedly left her residence in Bangkok's Raminthra area at about 9:20am by a bullet-prove van and arrived at the CAPO at about 9:50am, when she was received by National Police Chief Police General Adul Saengsingkaew. The prime minister reportedly kept herself at her residence the whole day on Sunday, but Suthep Thuagsuban, the leader of the largest anti-government group, announced on Sunday evening that he had met the prime minister, along with Royal Thai Armed Forces chiefs for talks. Suthep, who is a former MP and a former deputy prime minister under Thailand's main opposition Democrat Party, did not mention where the meeting was held. (TNA)
