Thai PM:Improving situation attracts foreign investment

BANGKOK, November 3 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha says that the improving situation in Thailand has drawn more foreign investment projects into Thailand, calling on political groups to defer their planned movements until after a newly-elected government takes office. In response to a question whether there could be any political rally during the term of his interim government, raised by journalists in Bangkok on Monday, General Prayut stressed that his government needs to cope with any domestic political movement, as it could lead to unrest. General Prayut vowed to enforce laws decisively against any renewed domestic political movement, if any, warning political activists not to prompt the tough law enforcement. The prime minister also asked the mass media to cooperate by suspending problematic reports about exiled ex-Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra or refraining from presenting inappropriate reports. The prime minister insisted that the possibility of impeaching former Thai Parliament president Somsak Kiatsuranont, former Senate speaker Nikhom Wairatpanich and former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra does not concern his government, as it is the business of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA).
