Thai PM:Martial law will not be totally waived

BANGKOK, March 20 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha says that his interim government will not totally lift the martial law, reasoning that the special law is still needed to maintain order in the country. The prime minister told journalists of the stance on Friday, but acknowledging that his administration is trying to ease the enforcement of the martial law. According to the prime minister, his government has enforced only two out of 17 articles of the martial law, which is considered not too stiff, so that the special law should be acceptable for the public.
