Thai police seize two Vietnamese fishing boats

TRAT, Dec 13 (TNA) - Twenty-eight Vietnamese fishermen have been arrested and their two trawlers seized on charges of intruding into Thai territorial waters. First Region Navy Commander Vice Admiral Rangsarit Satthayanukul said the two Vietnamese trawlers were seized on the southern part of Ko Kut in Trat’s Khlong Yai district in Trat province after they allegedly intruded Thai territorial waters. Initial investigation found they entered the area to catch fishes and sea snakes which could earn about 1,000 baht each in China. All of the arrested Vietnamese fishermen will be sent to Sattahip police station for legal action. (TNA)
