THAI reports on probe of flight turbulence

BANGKOK, August 31 (TNA) - Senior Executive Vice President of Thai Airways International (THAI) Chokchai Panyayong, who oversees the commercial department, says that Friday's incident, in which the TG 600 Flight of the national flag carrier encountered an air pocket before its landing at the Hong Kong International Airport, is an accident because the weather cannot be predicted. The THAI vice president reported on Saturday that five passengers on the troubled flight have been treated at hospitals in Hong Kong, including one Thai and a Chinese boy. According to the THAI vice president, the national airline has been monitoring the conditions and treatment of the five hospitalized passengers closely, and has notified their relatives of the situation. Besides, THAI ensured full responsibity for medical charges of all the injured. (TNA)
