Thai representatives chosen for Astana Expo 2017

BANGKOK, March 26 (TNA) - Ten persons who will represent Thailand at the Astana Expo 2017, which takes place in Kazakhstan between June 10 and September 10, have been selected. The selected 10 Thai energy representatives, aged between 18 and 30, with expertise in Russian, Kazakh or English language will serve as cultural ambassadors at the expo’s Thailand Pavilion. They have attended a briefing given by Areepong Bhoocha-oom, permanent secretary for Energy, and other energy gurus who briefed them on energy activities, including alternative energy and energy conservation, in the kingdom. More than 100 countries and 10 global organisations are expected to take part in this year’s expo held under the concept of ‘Future Energy’. Thailand Pavilion at the event is set up under the concept of ‘Bioenergy for All’, underlining alternative energy development and bioenergy advancement for a sustainable future in Thailand. (TNA)
