Thai satellite spots suspected parts of missing Malaysian plane

BANGKOK, March 27 (TNA) - Thailand is sending its satellite photos to Malaysia to verify whether pictured floating objects in the southern Indian Ocean have any connection with the ill-fated Boeing 777-200ER aircraft of Malaysia Airlines. Anond Snidvongs, Executive Director of Thailand's Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), told journalists on Thursday that photos taken by the Thaichote earth observation satellite on March 24 showed over 300 white objects floating in the southern part of the Indian Ocean, about 2,700 kilometers off Australia's Perth City and some objects were more than two meters long. The finding has already been reported to Caretaker Prime Minister and Defence Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and concerned officials will take photos of those objects again, after that Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul will send the photos to neighbouring Malaysia to facilitate an investigation into the March 16 missing Flight MH370 of Malaysia Airlines.
