Thai students grab gold medals in Physics Olympiad

BANGKOK, July 15 (TNA) - Thai students have won three gold and two silver medals at the 44th International Physics Olympiad, held in Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital, from July 7-15, 2013. The three Thai gold medallists, all males, are from Suankularb Wittayalai School, Mahidol Wittayanusorn School and Triam Udom Suksa School. The silver medals, meanwhile, went to Thai students from Mahidol Wittayanusorn School and Triam Udom Suksa School. The international competition drew 374 students from 80 countries worldwide, with those from China and Korea grabbing most golds. All the young Thai medalists are scheduled to return home Tuesday morning. Thai youths participating in the 42nd World Skills competition in Leipzig, Germany, also won two gold and one silver medals, as well as eight certificates last week. (TNA)
