Thai students win gold, silvers at IPhO in India

BANGKOK, July 13 (TNA) - Thai students have, again, brought fame to the nation by winning one gold and four silver medals at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2015, held in Mumbai, India, from July 4-13. Pornphan Waitayangkura, Director of the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST), announced the result on Monday, saying that the winning Thai students were selected to compete at the IPhO 2015, in which a total of 382 students from 86 countries participated. The IPST chief told journalists that the Thai youths are scheduled to arrive at Thailand's main Suvarnabhumi International Airport in the early morning of July 14. According to the IPST chief, a reception event will be held at 6am (local time) at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport to welcome the winning Thai students and celebrate their victory. (TNA)
