Thai tourism grows 17% in 2013, expected to expand at least 10% in 2014

BANGKOK, January 21 (TNA) - The Thai Hotels Association has reported that domestic tourism grew by 17 per cent year-on-year in 2013, when the number of foreign visitors to Thailand stood at 29.9 million. The association forecast if Thailand's ongoing political demonstrations continued without violent incidents, the domestic tourism could grow by at least 12-13 per cent in 2014. According to the association, even if there were violent incidents during the ongoing domestic political protests, the Thai tourism could expand by at least 10 per cent this year.(TNA)
