Thai youths grab gold at GBOB 2013

BANGKOK, July 23 (TNA) - Thai students from Matthayom Sangkeet Wittaya School in Bangkok, who have won the gold medal for Concert Performance, after competing in the 17th Global Battle of the Bands (GBOB) in the Netherlands, returned home on Tuesday amid warm cheering welcome from their families and friends. Director of Sang keet Wittaya School Naruepob Khantapthai, who led the 80 students to the competition, said that Mathayom Sangkeet Wittaya School is the only school in Thailand, which specialises in music. The director suggested that such the music school be expanded nationwide in order to give opportunities to Thai youths who are talented in music. (TNA)
