Thailand to become regional aviation hub

BANGKOK, December 26 (TNA) - Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Ltd. (AEROTHAI) and Thai Airways International (THAI), the national flag carrier, have signed an agreement to jointly develop the national aviation system, paving the way for Thailand to become a regional aviation hub in the future. The agreement was signed in Bangkok on Thursday by AEROTHAI President Prajak Sajjasophon and his THAI counterpart Sorajak Kasemsuvan, while Permanent Secretary for Transport Somchai Siriwatanachoke presided over the signing ceremony. The focal point of the agreed cooperation is that both parties further upgrade their operational efficiency in terms of air traffic management and human resource development with a common goal of helping raise Thailand's status as a regional aviation hub in the future.(TNA)
