Thailand celebrates HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s birthday

BANGKOK, April 2 (TNA) - Thailand celebrates Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 58th birthday on April 2, a most auspicious occasion to also honour and publicize her role model as an ideological leader in education, especially in the development of community-level education. Among activities organized in Bangkok on Tuesday, as part of nationwide celebrations of the Princess's birthday, include exhibitions held at the Centara Grand Hotel and the Bangkok Convention Centre at Central World shopping complex, where there are video presentations showing efforts of the beloved Princess's to end education gaps in Thailand and the release of caravans to promote the reading habit among Thai youths. There are also exhibitions featuring various development projects initiated to upgrade the life of children and youths in rural areas and development activities and projects of schools under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the third child and second daughter of Their Majesties King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit.
