Thailand to launch educational reform

BANGKOK, September 27 (TNA) - Deputy Education Minister Krissanapong Keeratikorn says that Thailand's education system needs to be reformed. In his speech in Bangkok on Saturday, Krissanapong suggested that Thailand's education system needs to focus on cultures related to the Muslim religion, of which the majority of people in the Thai far South worship, or other religions worshipped by hilltribes in the Thai North. Krissanapong said students must also be taught on how to live well in the 21st century and to also have ethics. According to the deputy education minister, in arithmetic subject, instead of teaching students of only how to add or subtract, they should also be taught of saving money. (TNA)
