Thailand launches "Traffic Police Clinic"

BANGKOK, December 3 (TNA) - Thailand's Metropolitan Police Bureau launches its "Traffic Police Clinic" to treat ailing traffic police officers. Deputy Metropolitan Police Chief Police Major General Adul Narongsak told journalists on Wednesday that the "Traffic Police Clinic" will be launched at the Thai Traffic Police Office in Bangkok on December 4, 2014, after an initial survey found recently that a number of traffic police in Bangkok suffered from several health problems due to their hard work with less sleep and air pollution. Police Major General Adul said that he has, thus, ordered the Thai Traffic Police Office to conduct a thorough survey on the number of traffic police officers who face health, personal or family problems so that they will be trated at the "Traffic Police Clinic". According to the initial survey, a number of metropolitan traffic police suffered from stress, hallucination, alcoholism, heart disease, tuberculosis, bone diseases and even cancer. (TNA)
