Thailand-Malaysia High-Level Committee meeting held in Bangkok

BANGKOK, May 15 (TNA) - The 31st meeting of the Thailand-Malaysia High-Level Committee was held in Bangkok on Friday to discuss border area development and bilateral cooperation enhancement. Thai Supreme Commander Worapong Sanganetra and his Malaysian counterpart Tan Sri Zulkifeli bin Mohd co-chaired the meeting at Dusit Thani Hotel. Both sides, in particular, were expected to address cooperation on immigration checks and the management of border areas. They were also expected to touch on solutions to the problem of transnational human trafficking. Conclusions from the semi-annual meeting would be reported to the regional and general border committees of both countries. Malaysia will host the 32nd meeting of the Thailand-Malaysia High-Level Committee this September. (TNA)
