Thailand offers to be host of regional forums

BANGKOK, January 14 (TNA) - Thailand is ready to be a host of regional forums, as part of a national policy on promoting the Kingdom to become a centre of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Deputy Government Spokesman Major General Sansern Kaewkamnerd told journalists on Tuesday, after the Cabinet's weekly meeting in Bangkok, that Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has instructed all ministries to help support the national policy by offering the Kingdom to be a host of various regional forums. The deputy spokesman said all ministries has also been ordered to organise other activities concerning ASEAN in their respective areas. The deputy government spokesman noted that the policy is also aimed to help boost the national image. (TNA)
