Thailand prepares social development volunteers ahead of AC

BANGKOK, July 7 (TNA) - Thailand's Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, in cooperation with the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), organises training programs to promote understanding and prepare participants for the formation of the ASEAN Community (AC) by 2015, in terms of their proper awareness and contribution to the regional integration. Permanent Secretary for Social Development and Human Security Wichien Chawalit on Monday inaugurated the training programs in Bangkok,in which social development and human security volunteers from 77 Thai provinces, as well as representatives and executives of the Youth Council and interested groups of children and youths participated. The training programs are also aimed to provide knowledge and understanding about regional links and multi-cultures and races. The first training program was first held from July 7-9, 2014, following by the second one from July 18-20. (TNA)
