Thailand Research Expo 2014 set to be held in August

BANGKOK, July 15 (TNA) - The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), in cooperation with its nationwide research networks, will organise "Thailand Research Expo 2014" in Bangkok from August 7-11. The Thailand Research Expo 2014, set to be held at the Centara Grand Hotel in the capital, will showcase about 250 Thai research projects for the sustainable development of quality of life of the Thai people, economy and society. Among the research masterpieces are tricycles for persons with physical disabilities (PWDs), a tree climbing monkey robot, straw furniture products, spicy relief and research projects on Thai rice. An exhibition on His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and his contribution to the country through research projects will also be displayed at the event. Besides, the five-day expo includes a seminar on several important issues in the country, as well as the third Thai-Sino strategic research seminar to promote research collaboration between Thailand and China.
