Thailand's anti-government protesters rally against alleged separatism

BANGKOK, March 6 (TNA) - Anti-government protesters marched to rally at targeted venues in Bangkok on Thursday morning to drum up their opposition to alleged attempts by a movement to divide the Thai Kingdom. Protesters of the Network of Students travelled in cars to first stop at the Chinese Embassy on the Ratchadaphisek Road to read a statement opposing to the caretaker government of Caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and the "Thaksin" regime, referring to the political influence of exiled ex-Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, Yingluck's elder brother. The protesters then submitted a letter explaining the current political situation in Thailand to the Chinese Embassy before proceeding to the British Embassy in the capital. Another group of anti-government protesters of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), led by a senior Buddhist monk Phra Buddha Issasra, marched to the Crime Suppression Division headquarters in the capital to lodge a complaint against groups of people on charges of alleged lese majeste and attempts to separate the Kingdom, considered violating Article 1 of the Thai Constitution.
