Thailand's anti-human trafficking included as national agenda

BANGKOK, April 3 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has announced to include anti-human trafficking moves as national agenda so that all concerned agencies join forces in achieving the efforts. Prime Minister General Prayut's announcement on Friday followed his government's laying out of strategic measures and operational plans for concrete solutions to human trafficking-related problems, including those on preventing the problems, protecting victims and taking legal action against those involving in suspected human trafficking. The prime minister ordered that all concerned agencies integrate their relevant ideas and operations within the US Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report framework, focused on preventing the problems, including those relating to migrant workers and illegal entry of fishing migrant labourers. The Thai prime minister vowed to take both disciplinary and criminal actions against concerned officials who are found negligence in their duties and responsibilities. (TNA)
