BANGKOK, May 10 (TNA) - Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand left Siriraj Hospital on Sunday afternoon for Klai Kangwon Palace in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan province to rest and recuperate after they had been hospitalized for months. Their majesties left the hospital at 2pm local time amid live media coverage nationwide. Members of the public greeted Their Majesties along the roads where the royal motorcade passed on its way to the palace. Last Wednesday, Professor Dr. Udom Kachintorn, Rector of Mahidol University, cited a team of physicians providing medical care to their Majesties as saying their Majesties the King and Queen were in good health. They were healthy enough to be discharged from the hospital. Earlier on Tuesday, His Majesty the King had attended a ceremony to mark Coronation Day at the Grand Palace. Meanwhile, local state officials and residents in Hua Hin gathered along Phetkasem Road opposite the entrance to Klai Kangwon Palace to greet the revered monarchs. (TNA)
