Thailand's northern trains resume following weekend's derailment

BANGKOK, May 28 (TNA) - Trains in northern Thailand have resumed their normal services, following a derailment in Lamphun province last weekend. Pichit Dokputh, Lamphun Train Station Master, said that a seven-bogie train which derailed last Saturday evening in the Sri-Bua-Ban locality of Lamphun's Muang district was successfully retrieved Sunday night, when the broken railroad in the area was also fully-fix. Thailand's rail services on all northern routes, including the Lampang-Lamphun- Chiang Mai train, has, therefore, resumed normal operations since 9am Monday. (TNA)
