Thailand's Suvarnabhumi named "Best Airport in the World"

BANGKOK, April 10 (TNA) - Thailand's main Suvarnabhumi International Airport has been named the "Best Airport in the World 2012" by Europe's top online tourism company, [www.edreams.com]. Wilaiwan Nadwilai, Director of Thailand's Suvarnabhumi International Airport, under the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), told journalists on Wednesday that the Suvarnabhumi Airport was announced the "Best Airport in the World 2012" by the European top online tourism company late last month. According to the director, Edreams's ranking was based on online opinion polls of its global clients using passenger terminals' services and facilities of worldwide airports, who are mostly Europeans, covering services of airport staffs, goods outlets, cleanliness and travel services to inner cities. Recently, the director acknowledged, Thailand's Suvarnabhumi International Airport was also named the world's 6th Best Airport 2012 in the category of international airports which cater more than 40 global passengers annually.
