BANGKOK, June 10 (TNA) - In response to a shooting spree at a popular shopping and restaurant area in Tel Aviv on June 8, killing four people and injuring six others, the Thai Embassy in the Israeli city has warned Thai nationals in Israel to stay away from public places in the city and adjacent zones for the sake of their safety. In a statement issued on Friday, the Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv also warned Thais in Israel to closely follow up the updated situation in the country and, if not necessary, keep away from public gathering sites, like shopping malls and other entertainment venues. The Thai embassy stressed on its concerns over the safety and welfare of Thai citizens in Tel Aviv and nearby cities, asking for cooperation from everyone. Two Palestinian gunmen, dressed in suits and ties, opened fire at people dining at a restaurant in the Sarona shopping complex area near the Israeli Defence Ministry on Wednesday night (local time), causing the 10 casualties, before they were captured by Israeli police.
